This New Cannabis Show Focuses Exclusively On Women Who Love Weed

A new cannabis show focuses exclusively on women, and we’re all about it. “Queens of the Stoned Age” has officially premiered.

This new cannabis show focuses exclusively on women. In an age where women are taking more and more leadership roles in the cannabis industry, it only makes sense to have a web series devoted to women who are keen on the green. The series premiered on Merry Jane and is honestly such a breath of fresh air. If you’re a cannabis lover who is sick of the bro culture surrounding the plant, this show is for you.

It’s no secret that women smoke weed. Seriously, women love weed. And for good reason! The health benefits of cannabis are staggering. Furthermore, weed has proven to be particularly beneficial to women.

For some reason though, the image of the cannabis industry has been male-dominated for years. The stereotype of the twenty-something-year-old male stoner is pervasive and, frankly, inaccurate.

But this image is changing. Now more than ever, women are opening up about their close relationships with cannabis. And we’re seeing more women in the media involved in weed.

In 2005, we saw the premiere of Weeds, a comedy-drama written by Jenji Kohan about a suburban mom-slash-weed dealer. The show ran for eight seasons.

We also have Broad City, created by and starring Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. While the series isn’t exclusively about weed, the protagonists constantly smoke, eat, and vape the herb.

But what about nonfiction shows about women and cannabis? Don’t we deserve some real-life Mary Jane-lovin’ women to look up to? The answer is obviously yes, and other people agree.

The web series Queens of the Stoned Age has officially premiered.  The new cannabis show focuses exclusively on women who consume weed and women who are in the growing cannabis industry. And in the cannabis growing industry.

Jessica Assaf and Snoop Dogg co-created Queens of the Stoned Age for the weed lifestyle and culture website Merry Jane. In the series, Assaf, who created Cannabis Feminist, hosts a panel of weed-consuming women. According to the reports, they will consume cannabis and talk about a variety of different topics in a casual, relaxed environment.

Final Hit: New Cannabis Show Focuses Exclusively On Women

In the first episode, Assaf hosted Janice Griffith, Michelle Zauzig, Kelly Moon, Emily O’Brien, and Tiara Thomas among others. During the premiere episode, the women focused their discussion on health. In particular, they discussed how choosing cannabis instead of typical pharmaceuticals has empowered them to advocate for themselves.

Further episodes will be dedicated to talking about business, sex, creativity, and even the panelists’ relationships with other women. It’s good to know that even though this new cannabis show focuses exclusively on women, it won’t fall into the trap of petty gossip and drama, as so many female-centric shows do. Instead, it’s all about empowerment, honesty, and friendship. That’s a message we can get behind!
