Rappers Who Don’t Smoke Weed

Cannabis is a huge part of rap culture and is often talked about in popular music. We all know the rappers who openly smoke weed and love it, but what about those who spit bars without lighting up. Some of the most incredible rappers who don’t smoke weed or stopped are still respectful to cannabis culture. Miley Cyrus should follow their examples.

Jermaine has spoken out before about never really getting into weed and quit smoking for good in 2011. That doesn’t stop him from putting out the perfect bangers to light up to however. His most recently released single, “High For Hours” covers a range of topics in society today. Not only does his music make you think, it’ll put you in the perfect mindset for rolling up and chilling out. Even though he doesn’t smoke, it doesn’t stop his neighbors from thinking he’s selling dope.

Kendrick Lamar

Kung Fu Kenny doesn’t hit the gang either but sure as hell will hit your heart strings. Kendrick’s raps about social inequality and black culture are easily one of the best things to happen to rap since Pac. His songs are packed with amazing even if his papers aren’t packed with weed.

Tyler The Creator

Creator of bars that is, not blunts. He’s particularly open about his drug-free lifestyle and even includes his proclivity for avoiding drugs in his lyrics. In 2013, he even took to Twitter to call bullshit on the phonies who smoke weed but can’t produce a good song, saying, “IF WEED MAKES PEOPLE SOOOO CREATIVE WHY IS EVERYONE DOING THE SAME SHIT. IT BAFFLES ME.”

Kid Cudi

Cudi stopped smoking in 2011 along with J. and did so on April 1st, which led some people to think it was a joke. Alas, it wasn’t and people were pretty upset. Kid Cudi responded telling people he makes music for himself and always has. Do you man.

Andre 3000

This man doesn’t eat meat, drink alcohol, smoke weed or consume dairy products. Clean living is important to Andre 3000 as he partied hard in his Outkast days and it got to where he was abusing it. In an interview, he said,”I was kind of abusing it, I wasn’t looking my best, I had a platinum album out and I would do stuff like go to projects to buy weed.”
