New White House Communications Director Thinks Weed Makes Zombies

So apparently the new White House Communications Director thinks weed makes zombies. Read more and find out about some of the bizarre thoughts held by Anthony Scaramucci.

The new White House Communications Director thinks weed makes zombies. You read that sentence correctly. Anthony Scaramucci thinks smoking weed will turn you into the flesh-eating undead. Well, figuratively speaking (we hope).

Who is Anthony Scaramucci?

Anthony Scaramucci is the recently appointed Communications Director of the White House. He replaced Sean Spicer, another White House staffer who was far from a popular public figure.

He’s a former Wall Street financier and has absolutely zero experience in Public Relations. He started his career in 1989 at Goldman Sachs. He worked there from 1989-1996. Scaramucci held several different positions there, such as Investment Banker and Private Wealth Manager.

He left Sachs to launch his own management firm, Oscar Capital Management, with a former colleague. He later opened his own investment firm, SkyBridge Capital, in 2005. Scaramucci stepped down from SkyBridge this past year.

His experience in politics is very limited. In 2008, he was a fundraiser for President Obama. He was also the national finance co-chair for Mitt Romney during his 2012 campaign. Ironically, he’s even spoken negatively about President Trump in the past, calling him a “hack politician” on television. How the tables have turned.

Final Hit: New White House Communications Director Thinks Weed Makes Zombies

It’s no secret that the Trump administration does not like weed. We all know Jeff Sessions literally thinks weed is the devil. And Trump himself is pretty lukewarm on the stuff.

However, it seems Anthony Scaramucci might be the biggest anti-pot guy in the universe, and he made it known in a bizarre tweet back in 2015. In the tweet, he claimed the overuse of drugs is causing a “zombie apocalypse” in cities.

The new White House Communications Director thinks weed makes zombies? Can a high-ranking government official honestly think smoking a plant can turn you into a flesh-eating zombie? It’s almost like one of those propaganda commercials from the 1950’s. But worse. Also, has this guy ever even actually smoked? If he did, maybe he wouldn’t be making such bizarre claims.

Additionally, Scaramucci has clearly failed to see the pros of marijuana being legal and regulated. In states where it has been legalized, crime rates have gone down and so has the rate of fatal car crashes. It’s also managed to provide jobs for many people who might have otherwise been couch-dwelling zombies.

Medicinal marijuana and CBD are also much healthier alternatives to current prescription medications. If anything can turn a person into a zombie, it’s a high dosage of opioid painkillers and prescription benzos. In fact, many researchers think cannabis can be an effective treatment for opioid addiction.

Update: Shortly after this article was published, Anthony Scaramucci was removed from his position as White House Communications Director.
