Martha And Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party recently premiered their first episode. Before the premiere, all we knew was that it was a cooking show with hosts Snoop and Martha who have been on-screen together several times already. Twice on Martha’s show, and once on Comedy Central.

The two have a history, including Martha Stewart catching a high from being shotgunned some of Snoop’s weed. Jeff Ross claimed that this happened when they were at the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber. We wondered if weed would have a role in the show.

Well, the show starts off with the D O Double G announcing he’s not high but whoever gave them the show must have been. Not to worry, weed has a place in the first episode.

Martha claimed the dinner party would exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertainment, and celebrities. Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party brought a twist to the traditional food competition tv shows. The first episode featured celebrity stoner guests Wiz Khalifa and Seth Rogan, and it was “highly” entertaining.

The first episode was essentially a cook-off between Martha and Snoop. Furthermore, they were competing for a fried chicken championship belt.

Seth Rogan was assisting Snoop Dogg while Wiz backed Martha. Wiz came with a bag labeled the “secret ingredient.” When asked about it, he claimed was some of his own KK or Khalifa Kush. Whatever was in the bag was green.

The gang drank, chatted, danced and cooked until they were later joined by recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Ice Cube.

The three celebrity guests were put in charge of deciding whose chicken was better at the end. Don’t worry we won’t spoil the results.

Guests on the show were sitting at tables so it looks like they’d be taste testing the chicken too. A blunt and tickets to their show would make for a great date.

Final Hit

Martha And Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party Episode 1

After watching the second episode, it appears weed was mostly just a joke in the first episode. In fact, Snoop joked that his wings were infused with booze and chronic.

With Wiz and Seth as guests, the weed talk was inevitable. Even though the show isn’t built around weed, we’d still watch it. Snoop and Martha really know how to host a show and dinner party.

They come from completely separate backgrounds, as portrayed by their differing backgrounds on the show’s stage. However, they manage to get together to make a show all Americans would find entertaining.

We learned things about Snoop, Martha, and their guests that we wouldn’t have known without the show. They share their recipes so you can try making it yourself and since you’re not on VH1 you can be as high as you want! New episodes air on VH1 on Mondays.
