Does Bradley Cooper Smoke Weed?

We know what you’re wondering: does Bradley Cooper smoke weed? Time to take a look and find out for ourselves.

You’re probably wondering: does Bradley Cooper smoke weed? There’s no shortage of celebrities that are known to dabble with the green, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the Hollywood cool guy did too. We decided to see for ourselves if The Hangover star is a cannabis-enthusiast like us. Take a look at what we managed to find.

Who is Bradley Cooper?

Cooper’s interest in acting began after his father showed him the film The Elephant Man. Although his parents were initially apprehensive about their son pursuing acting, their fears were eased when they saw him play the part of John Merrick in a play version of the aforementioned film.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from Georgetown, before eventually pursuing acting full-time. He was able to land a small role in Sex in the City, and also starred in the 2000 adventure series Globe Trekker.

Cooper’s first movie role came in 2001, starring as part of an ensemble cast in the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer. He then starred in the show Alias as lead Jennifer Garner’s best friend, from 2001-2006. In 2005, he had a sizeable role in the hit comedy Wedding Crashers, which led to more prominent film roles for the actor.

His true breakthrough role didn’t come until 2009, however, when he starred in the comedy The Hangover, alongside Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. Cooper’s performance was critically acclaimed, and he was now a bonafide star. He later starred in films Valentine’s Day and A-Team, before getting the leading role in the 2011 sci-fi thriller Limitless. That year, he reprised his role of Phil Wenneck in the Hangover Part II.

In 2012 Cooper starred in The WordsHit and RunThe Place Beyond the Pines, and Silver Linings Playbook. In 2013, he starred in the third chapter of the Hangover trilogy, The Hangover Part III. He also starred in the comedy drama American Hustle that year.

Other roles Cooper was featured in included American Sniper, Guardians of the Galaxy, War Dogs, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

Puff or Pass?

Does Bradley Cooper Smoke Weed?

So back to the question at hand– does Bradley Cooper smoke weed? There’s not a ton of evidence to suggest he does. However, there are some small clues that could prove otherwise.

One such clue (although somewhat reaching) is that Cooper has abstained from alcohol and painkillers since 2004. Cooper’s vices caused him to re-think his acting career. But since he’s given up drugs and booze, he’s been one of the most successful men in Hollywood. One way to give up alcohol and opiates? Replace them with weed. Cannabis is known to be a solid alternative to alcohol and painkillers and has been proven to help with withdrawals and addiction. While there’s no indication this is the method Cooper took, it should still be noted.

Cooper is also a known advocate of Alzheimer’s awareness. He has spoken about it at many events and is part of the Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Champions. If you weren’t aware, there is a common belief that weed can help prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease. Perhaps Cooper is doing his due diligence to prevent it himself, by smoking cannabis.

Final Hit: Does Bradley Cooper Smoke Weed?

Since there’s not much concrete evidence that Cooper smokes weed, we’re going to have to go with a no on this one. Sure, there’s a couple of things that may hint at cannabis use, but it is somewhat grasping at straws. However, it shouldn’t be completely ruled out. Perhaps Cooper likes to smoke on the low. Either way it’s an interesting thing to think about, and hopefully, more information comes out in the near future.
