Cannabis-Infused Beer Just Got The Green Light For Sales Across The US

The cannabis-infused beer was recently approved for sale. It’s worth noting that cannabis-infused and THC-infused are not the same.

The cannabis-infused beer was recently approved for sale in Colorado. It’s worth noting that cannabis-infused and THC-infused are not the same. So, only the latter will get you high. Fortunately, the beer does contain medical components from cannabis. Unlike cannabis absinthe, which has no cannabis components and tastes like weed.

Cannabis-Infused Beer Details

Dad and Dudes Breweria in Aurora, Colorado, received approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Cannabinoids (CBDs) are in General Washington’s Secret Stash IPA brew. However, the beer is lacking in THC content, because THC remains federally illegal. They would limit their beer sales by only serving in states with legalized marijuana. A beverage with two different intoxicants probably wouldn’t be approved for sale. Therefore, people will have to get cross-faded the old fashion way: with a beer and a joint.

In the past, CBD-infused beer was only allowed to be sold in Colorado. Now, Dad and Dudes Breweria will be expanding its sales across the United States. After working with the federal government for quite some time, co-owner Mason Hembree and his family collaborated with the federal government for federal approval.

Wiz Khalifa announced his brand of cannabis-infused beer earlier this year. His hemp-infused beer won’t get you high either.  Consumers looking for a THC buzz are better off with non-alcoholic beverages like the rapper, The Game’s “G Drinks.”

Medicinal Benefits Without The High

This IPA won’t get you high. However, it can improve some aspects of your health.

According to Dad and Dudes co-owner, Mason Hembree, “cannabinoids are a miracle compound.” He believes it was a responsible choice to put them into beer.

Cannabis flowers secrete a chemical compound called CBD. Furthermore, studies have shown that CBD treats pain, nausea, and inflammation.

“They are an antioxidant and neuroprotectant that have a lot of health benefits.” – Mason Hembree, co-owner of Dad and Dudes breweria.

How Does CBD Work?

First, you will need to understand the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is connected to most essential functions. As a result, many medical conditions are being treated with cannabis. Cannabinoids work by attaching to cannabinoid receptors. CB1 and CB2 are the two main cannabinoid receptors. CB1 and CB2 receptors have healing properties when activated.

Moreover, cannabinoids are useful chemotherapeutic agents. Cannabinoids can kill cancer cells. Chemo patients turn to smoking weed for pain relief and chemotherapeutic agents. CBD comes with several benefits and no harmful side effects.

The Final Hit

The Tax and Trade Bureau required a complete analysis of the ingredients, recipe, and process of the brew before approval. Now, Dad and Dudes Breweria has the green light for sales across the U.S. The beer has a 6.5% percent alcohol content. You will feel the alcohol even if you don’t get high. Anyone over 21 years of age in the U.S. can now enjoy cannabis-infused ales. The company plans on expanding its collection of CBD brews. Furthermore, at the Great American Beer Festival on October 6-8 in Denver, Dad and Dudes will be serving five cannabis-infused beers. Including an IPA, double IPA, cream ale, and Berliner Weiss.
