Cannabis and Coconut Oil Make A Potent Cancer Killing Mixture

In 2011, after nearly a decade of remission, Stan Rutner’s lymphoma returned. Cancerous nodes in his lungs were diagnosed and later he was told that the cancer was in his brain. The outlook was grim indeed, so he decided to try cannabis and coconut oil capsules.

As he again went through the harsh treatment of chemotherapy and radiation, Stan and his family were hoping to find an alternative. The wanted a natural solution that would help improve his quality of life and even prolong it.

Stan’s family had read that cannabis was effective in helping with the pain and other effects of chemotherapy for cancer patients. Hoping medical cannabis would be their golden ticket, Stan and Barb were open to trying it.

The Rutner’s son-in-law and their daughter Corinne did some research, and decided that a daytime cannabis capsule infused in coconut oil would be a good choice.

After two weeks of taking the cannabis capsule, Stan was able to give up the oxygen tank that he was tied to 24/7. He began to gain weight, sleep better and get stronger overall. After nearly a year, a brain scan revealed that Stan was completely cancer free.

Can Cannabis And Coconut Oil Really Kill Cancer Cells?

Medical marijuana capsules infused in coconut oil are an alternative way to therapeutically use cannabis. Patients do not have to inhale the cannabis through smoking.

The cannabinoids that provide medical users with therapeutic effects are soluble in the fatty acids of the coconut oil. The oil is then rapidly taken up by liver, where it is quickly processed and distributed throughout the body.

Coconut oil is an ideal medium for medical cannabis because of the high amount of essential fatty acids present. These rich fatty acids make a good binding agent for the cannabinoids THC and CBD.

Even on its own, coconut oil is known for its healthful properties. For example, upwards of half of the fat in coconut oil is composed of a rare fatty acid called lauric acid.

In health food circles, Lauric acid has been called a “miracle” ingredient. In fact, it can be found in only three dietary sources—small amounts in butterfat and larger amounts in palm kernel and coconut oil.

In the body, lauric acid is converted to monolaurin. Monolaurin is a potent antiviral, antibacterial and antiprotozoal substance. In other words, it helps eliminate foreign bodies that can attack the body’s immune system.

Cancer patients undergoing radiation and chemotherapy are particularly vulnerable to infection and disease, which is part of what makes treating cancer with those methods so risky.

Stan’s cannabis-infused coconut oil capsules were likely effective for two reasons. One, the lauric acid in the coconut oil helped fight off pathogens. And two, the cannabis helped therapeutically with the side-effects of his cancer treatment.
