Celebs who smoke marijuana and don’t give AF who knows it
There are celebs like Michael Phelps who probably would have preferred their weed habit remain a secret. On the other hand, more and more celebrities are going public with their weed smoking. There are obvious celebs like Snoop Dogg, who has been loud and proud about his love for weed for a long time. There are also a bunch of other celebrities who you may not have known smoked weed. So, we’ve compiled a list of celebrities who smoke weed and don’t try to hide it.
In Kitchen Confidential (2000), Anthony Bourdain admitted to being high at the restaurants he visited.
“We were high all the time, sneaking off to the walk-in refrigerator at every opportunity to ‘conceptualize.’ Hardly a decision was made without drugs. Cannabis, methaqualone, cocaine, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms soaked in honey and used to sweeten tea, secobarbital, tuinal, amphetamine, codeine and, increasingly, heroin, which we’d send a Spanish-speaking busboy over the Alphabet City to get.”
Bourdain was seen on film eating a cannabis infused pizza in Cambodia, and he’s shared photos of himself smoking weed from a pipe. Furthermore, he has spoken about his favorite method of smoking which is a joint. So, it’s safe to say he’s not afraid who knows about his weed smoking.
Bill Maher has been seen smoking weed on HBO which should have lead to a $1.7 million dollar fine. This happened earlier this year on an episode of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” He lit a joint and smoked it with guest rapper Killer Mike who is a marijuana activist.
On the episode, Bill stated, “I use medical marijuana because my third eye has glaucoma.” Before he lights up a doobie claiming, “this is private property, and I do have a card, so…”
Bill Maher spoke about a time that he went to a party with Brad Pitt. He said that Brad sat on the floor all night rolling the most perfect joints he’d ever seen. Brad replied with, “I’m an artist.”
He said he stopped smoking for his kids, but recent news makes that seem less likely.
Brad Pitt was once given a gift-wrapped bong on Zach Galifianakis’ “Between Two Ferns” web series. Some say the gift had no purpose, but we think Zach was trying to tell us something.
In fact, we later found out during Brangelina’s divorce that weed played a role. Sources reported Angelina was “fed up” with Brad’s weed smoking.
Snoop’s weed habit went beyond just smoking it. Cameron Diaz claims that Snoop was her dealer in high school!
Apparently, the two attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School together. In response to her statement, Snoop laughed and said: “I might have sold her some of that white girl weed,” which he jokingly explained was just “sticks and stems and seeds.”
When in Amsterdam with buddies, Chris Brown had an all out smoke sesh in a coffee shop where pot is legal.
He Instagrammed himself with three giant joints in his mouth. Furthermore, Brown posted a video talking about how he was going to get so high because weed is legal in Amsterdam.
Earlier this year, Conor McGregor posted a picture to Instagram that illustrated he doesn’t give AF who knows he smokes weed.
In the picture, he’s seen, joint in hand, with the caption “we run New York.” Whether it’s in the ring, during a UFC conference, or on Instagram, Conor McGregor never seems to give AF.
So, it’s only natural that he doesn’t attempt to hide his weed habit.
In 1998, Dave Chappelle co-wrote the cult stoner film Half Baked. His first starring role was in a stoner flick and weed was a topic that came up in his stand-up.
Furthermore, weed was a topic during his first hour-long HBO special, Dave Chappelle: Killin’ Them Softly.
Definitely a big figure in the marijuana community, Doug Benson starred in the documentary, Super High Me. Which was a parody of the movie Super Size Me that featured a month of eating McDonald’s.
Even though it was a parody, Super High Me was quite informative. Benson suffered a lot less smoking daily than Morgan Spurlock did eating McDonald’s every day.
Benson is seen on camera regularly smoking pot. Now, his career pretty much revolves around it. When he’s not doing stand-up, Benson hosts a video podcast show Getting Doug with High.
On his show, Doug gets high with some celebrity guests and interviews them. If he cared what people thought about his pot smoking he probably wouldn’t have his career.
Jennifer Aniston has admitted to her pot use with no shame. In fact, she told Rolling Stone that she enjoys pot “once in a while,” and “there’s nothing wrong with that.”
The Friends star doesn’t partake frequently enough to consider herself a “pothead,” but she still isn’t afraid to let the public know she likes weed.
Joe Rogan frequently blogs and podcasts about his pot usage. However, he wasn’t always pro-weed. Rogan once bought into the propaganda about weed but eventually tried it and changed his mind. He’s done stand-up on his pot use as well.
The UFC fighting, game show hosting, stand-up comedian has never cared who knew he smoked. Rogan once said, “If they don’t like me because I smoke pot, I probably wouldn’t like them anyways.”
Interestingly enough, Lady Gaga claimed to have an addiction to marijuana which potential Attorney General Jeff Session’s cited as a reason for prohibition.
“I have been addicted to it, and it’s ultimately related to anxiety coping, and it’s a form of self-medication, and I was smoking up to 15-20 marijuana cigarettes a day with no tobacco,” she told Elvis Duran during the Z100 Morning Show.
Miley has made it a part of her personality to let the world know she doesn’t care what they think of her. Weed smoking isn’t left out of her crazy antics.
She even smoked weed on stage at the 2013 European Music Awards. Cyrus has been an advocate of legalization for some time. In fact, she told Rolling Stone weed is “the best drug on earth.”
Rihanna couldn’t care less what anyone has to say about her smoking weed. In 2010 rumors surfaced about her getting kicked out of a Barbados hotel for smoking out her room.
Since then, RiRi’s posted several pictures and videos of herself smoking weed on Instagram. She even had a weed-themed costume for Halloween.
Sarah Silverman is not shy when it comes to her personality or her pot usage. Furthermore, she told Conan that she split a marijuana edible with her stepmom during a bar mitzvah.
Seth Rogan once told Sarah that she was the first famous person he ever smoked pot with. Sarah has smoked up several times on camera for Doug Benson’s podcast, too.
Actor Seth Rogan is a well-known pothead. Nobody would be surprised to find out Seth Rogan smokes weed. He has a movie named after the weed strain Pineapple Express.
Furthermore, lots of his movies feature pot smoking. Seth Rogan has been seen on camera smoking with Snoop Dogg and teaching people how to roll a cross joint.
Snoop’s been smoking since he was eight or nine years old he told Esquire magazine. His debut to the rap game was on Dr. Dre of N.W.A’s “The Chronic” in 1992.
So, he was never shy about his love for the chronic. In 2016, Snoop got his own alternative talk show host on YouTube where he’s been seen smoking up with guests.
If we had to give a crown to the celebrity who never gave AF about who knew they smoke weed… it’s definitely Snoop.
Tommy Chong has to be one of the oldest known modern-day stoners. He and Cheech brought cannabis comedy to film. The actor/activist announced he was diagnosed with cancer in 2012.
Chong claims that thanks to cannabis he is “99% cancer free.” He is another celebrity member of the NORML advisory board and a long-time advocate for the legalization of marijuana.
Whoopi Goldberg uses medical marijuana legally and isn’t afraid who knows. She has written a column for the Cannabist on medical marijuana usage.
Additionally, Goldberg designed her own cannabis products with award winning edibles chef, Maya Elisabeth. Whoopi & Maya debuted in California dispensaries in April.
Whoopi claims her products were inspired by lifetime experience. As a member of the medical cannabis market and community, she is outspoken about her marijuana usage.
Willie Nelson has been advocating weed for quite some time. Furthermore, he is the co-chair of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) advisory board.
Nelson and his family began growing in Colorado earlier this year. Being an activist and a marijuana business owner, Nelson would have a hard time trying to hide his relationship with pot.
Following Willie Nelson and Bill Maher, Woody Harrelson is another celebrity marijuana activist and a member of the NORML Advisory Board.
The Academy Award-winning actor recently had a dispensary application denied. Harrelson has long protested the prohibition of marijuana.
Bill Maher isn’t the only person to smoke weed on his HBO show. Zach Galifianakis can be seen smoking up on this clip from the Bill Maher Show. Mid-conversation about prohibition, he pulls out a joint, lights it, and passes it to the other guests on the show.
Mid-conversation about prohibition, he pulls out a joint, lights it, and passes it to the other guests on the show. Sources later said that it might have been a clove cigarette, but they could have been attempting to protect Galifianakis from the $1.7 million fine.
