GROWTH Pot

Studio Ayaskan is a London-based team of designers with some innovative products. One of these is a plant that grows as your plant grows, called GROWTH. Their website states: “The life cycle of a plant is a transformation, from an early seed to its full grown size; the blooming of a flower, the unfolding of a leaf, the branching of the roots. This process is what GROWTH aims to capture within a plant pot.” The pot’s shape is inspired by the Japanese art of origami, as your plant gets bigger, the geometric pattern of the pot allows it to expand as well.

The team is comprised of twin sisters Begum and Bike Ayaskan who endeavor to bring together people, objects, and nature with their designs. With GROWTH, the pair seeks to replicate the gradual process of plant growth by creating the expanding pot. Here at Green Rush Daily, we saw this plant and thought it looks perfect for growing marijuana.

GROWTH For Cannabis Plants

For those who grow cannabis plants, this pot can prove immensely valuable. Like with any other plant, the pot will grow to accommodate the exact size of your cannabis plant – meaning it’s always the perfect size from seed to maturity. The design is beautiful as well, and will look at home wherever you’re growing your plant. Most importantly, though, utilizing this pot will allow you to skip the laborious and potentially harmful process of re-potting.

Putting your plant in a new pot is necessary when the plant becomes too large for its current pot. Aside from being time consuming and messy, this process can prove dangerous to your cannabis plant as well. If the transplant does not go well, the plant’s leaves may turn yellow, wither, and die. In the worst case scenario, the trauma can be so severe that the entire plant is ruined. Obviously, that’s bad news. Whether you’re growing to distribute or for personal consumption, having to start from scratch is a waste of valuable time and money.

With GROWTH, you can skip out on the worry of botching your cannabis plant as you’ll never have to re-pot at all. We do, however, recommend you add soil to your pot as the plant grows.

To buy a GROWTH pot of your own for your cannabis plant, e-mail the designers here. The duo plans to have them ready for sale by late this year.
