Wiz Khalifa Launching New Cannabis Strain

Wiz Khalifa Kush

Colorado cannabis users looking to elevate their ganja game this 4/20 are in for some good news: Wiz Khalifa’s well known and exclusive cannabis strain, Khalifa Kush, will soon be sold in select Colorado dispensaries. According to new reports, the world famous rapper, cannasseur, and marijuana entrepreneur Wiz Khalifa has just entered into a partnership with RiverRock Cannabis, which operates two dispensaries in Denver.

Under the arrangement, Khalifa’s line of cannabis products, which includes his own specially developed strain, will be sold at both RiverRock locations.

Khalifa Kush and other Khalifa-themed marijuana products are already available in some parts of southern California. With this latest deal, however, Khalifa looks to expand the scope of his ganja empire.

“These products have taken years to perfect,” the rapper said this week in a press release.

“I’m really excited to finally share them with the public and to work with RiverRock to raise awareness and end cannabis prohibition nationwide.”

Khalifa Kush is an indica dominant hybrid known for relatively high THC levels—typically between 26 and 33 percent—that tends to leave users feeling energetic and creative.

The good folks at All Bud have already reviewed Khalifa Kush. Here’s what they had to say about it:

“This perfect wake-and-bake strain hits you hard with an intense cerebral activity that leaves you energetic and uplifted, immediately eliminating any feelings of fatigue or pain.”

“This is accompanied by a relaxing mellow body buzz that leaves you completely relaxed in both mind and body without any feelings of sedation.”

The strain was developed by growers in San Jose, California, under the watchful eye of Wiz himself.

With his new strain set to hit new territory, Wiz Khalifa joins the ever-growing ranks of celebrities, professional athletes, and musicians joining the “green rush” of the cannabis industry.

Like Khalifa, Snoop Dogg has also developed his own cannabis strain, as well as numerous other marijuana-related business ventures; former NBA great Clifford Robinson—now known in the marijuana community as “Uncle Spliffy“—has plans to open his own grow operation; and just this week, Marley Natural released a line of cannabis strains inspired by late musical legend Bob Marley.
