This Man Will Trade an Ounce Of Weed For Ride to See Solar Eclipse

In what will surely go down in history as the best Craigslist ever, this man will trade an ounce of weed for a ride to see the solar eclipse.

His name is Andy, and this man will trade an ounce of weed for a ride. We’re not kidding. And neither is he. Earlier this month on Craigslist, Andy posted an ad offering a trade.

One ounce of cannabis in exchange for a ride to see the upcoming solar eclipse. This could be the best idea we’ve ever heard. Or it could be the beginning of a horror movie.

Earlier this month, Andy From Craigslist heard about the total solar eclipse. Because seeing a total solar eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event, Andy decided to be proactive. In an interview with THV11, he disclosed that he was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Since the tumor could eventually destroy his vision, he didn’t want to leave anything to chance. Specifically, he didn’t want to risk his car breaking down on his way from his home in Garibaldi, Oregon to the coast of Salem.

So he did what we all do when faced with a challenge. He took to the Internet.

Andy wrote an ad on Craigslist with a simple offer. An ounce of “sticky icky marijuana” in exchange for a ride in a reliable vehicle with a driver who “would not mind hanging out for a couple of days.” In the ad, he also offers to bring money for munchies.

In the ad, he assures the reader that he didn’t write it as a joke. He’s absolutely serious.

Because this man will trade an ounce of weed for a ride to see the solar eclipse, he said he’s received quite a few responses to his Craigslist ad.

Final Hit: This Man Will Trade An Ounce of Weed For A Ride

Andy From Craigslist lives in Oregon. Since Oregon has legal recreational cannabis, the legality of Andy’s Craigslist ad isn’t an issue. He is offering an ounce of weed, which is the maximum amount an adult in Oregon can possess and carry on their person at one time. Oregon cannabis laws also allows for adults to gift cannabis to other adults, age 21 and over.

The total solar eclipse is this Monday, August 21. Andy From Craigslist is not the only one desperate for a ride to see it. Far from it. Many other people have been trying to get rides and accommodations so that they can see the eclipse in its full, dark glory.

Best of luck to everyone trying to make travel arrangements to see the eclipse. Especially to Andy From Craigslist. It takes a certain level of creativity and nerve to put an ad like that on the Internet.

Will Andy find the perfect driver to take him on this pilgrimage? If this ad proves to be successful, will he continue to offer weed for goods and services? It sounds like a good trade-off for us!
