This Device Can Give You the Chemical Profile of Your Weed

The MyDx Analyzer provides users with information on the specific strains scanned. It’ll tell you the amount of THC, CBD, and Terpenes of any marijuana.

Not sure what strain that is you got in front of you? Well, the MyDx Analyzer with CannaDx Sensor kit should be able to tell you.

The first of its kind, the MyDx Analyzer provides users with information on the specific strains scanned. Furthermore, it’ll tell you the amount of THC, CBD, and Terpenes of any scanned cannabis. If you want to keep track of your journey to smoke them all, consider a MyDx, the real life weed pokedex.

You can control the device via bluetooth on your smartphone. Testing a sample only takes five minutes.

The scan can reveal whether your cannabis is quality or not. Furthermore, the instrument will notify you if there are any pesticides or harmful chemicals in your cannabis sample.

The scan tests for over twenty different terpenes and three different cannabinoids: THC, CBD, and CBN.

The companies own testing was 80% or more accurate when testing the THC of one batch of Girl Scout Cookies. On the other hand, the company admits they need to improve their CBD accuracy.

How accurate are the results? Unfortunately, our research concludes this device cannot match lab results. According to a test done by Greenflower Media, the results were highly inaccurate.

They purchased weed and had it tested in a lab. Then, they tested the same weed in the MyDx and the cannabinoid and terpene profiles were very different.

We were pretty excited to see an in-home cannabis testing device, but it looks like it needs some work. With a $700 price tag, we feel it should do what was advertised.

Company Response to Greenflower Media Review:

Please check out the MyDx White Paper link below which provides a comprehensive review of the cannabis testing industry (where state-approved lab test results can vary from 13.9%-23.9% THC for the same sample of cannabis) as well as the accuracy of MyDx as compared to hundreds of lab tested samples.

Unfortunately, your review is based on very limited data and a misinterpretation and misunderstanding of the claims behind our product.

We are 100% transparent about the accuracy of our product, what it can do today, and our intention has never been to replace labs as claimed in this review.

MyDx App

Where the company shines is their app. Even without the device, you can get their app. The app allows you to track every strain you smoke and how it made you feel.

The app can recommend similar strains and even show you where the nearest dispensary carrying those strains is at.

The company says that there will be a water chemical analysis sensor coming soon. Followed by an air sensor and food sensor for the device. If they manage to make these technologies accurate, this could change the health game forever.

Final Hit

While the concept of a home lab is fantastic, the technology doesn’t seem quite to be there yet. For now, we recommend the MyDx app.

There are way too many inaccuracies for the device to be worth over half a stack. We don’t know many people willing to spend $700 on semi-accurate testing. Hopefully, the company makes improvements, and we see the first accurate home cannabis tester soon.
